If you like vinyl records, you'll LOVE these tonearms.

Introduction    9" Tonearm    12" Tonearm    Plinth    Contact

This is the 12" tonearm.
Effective length: 12"
Overall length: 15"
Offset: 21 degrees
Mass: 39 grams
Cartridge weights: 4.5 to 10 grams. A heavier counterweight will be provided for heaviere cartridges.
Tracking weight: Your preference.
Construction: Solid cherry and solid brass with
protective coatings.
Cartridge connectors: Gold Cardas

The only difference between the 9" tonearm and the 12" tonearm is the length. And the counterweight is heavier. The 12" arm does not need any skating correction (probably due to the extra length), otherwise construction is identical. In case you were wondering, the rear horizontal pin is for removing the arm from the record.

Is the 12" tonearm better than the 9" arm? Your eyes may convince you it is. It's pleasing to look at, and not something all vinyl lovers have. So if you really want to impress your friends into thinking you know something they don't about this anachronistic hobby of yours, you may want to go with the 12" arm.

Price: $240.
TD 124 armboard (as shown) is $70.
